Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, aka Ari Lennox, was born in Washington, D.C. on March 26th on the 26th of March, 1991. She's an American musician and singer. She was the first artist signed by J. Cole to his record label Dreamville Records. The label released her first album titled Pho in the month of October 2016, and she was able to get recognition. Her debut studio album Shea Butter Baby was released on May 7, 2019. Ari Lennox began uploading her music onto the internet in 2012 when she launched her debut mixtape called Five Finger Discount and debut EP Ariography, in 2013. In 2014, she continued to share her music over the internet, including her self launched single Bound. She was featured in Omen's Elephant Eyes as well as in Sweat It Out on the 21st of July, 2015. J. Cole was interested in her talents and was keen to collaborate together with Rihanna. The news was released on December 8 that she was signed to Dreamville Records. She was featured on the joint album Revenge of the Dreamers II on the track Backseat with Cozz. In October 21, 2016, she released her debut EP called Pho. Ari Lennox appeared in J. Cole's Change song and opened her own tour, the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017. In 2018, she appeared on two songs alongside her label-mates EarthGang for Nothing but the Best. And Bas on Icarus. Ari Lennox, on the 16th of July in 2018 was the first artist to release her single "Whipped Cream" from Shea Butter Baby. A music video for it was released on September 5th. On November 9 the singer released two new singles: 40 Shades of Choke as well as Grampa. Then, in November 2013, she dropped No One and Pedigree. Shea Butter Baby. Shea Butter Baby later made an appearance as a guest on Creed II album soundtrack alongside Cole. She released this single as a way in order to announce her debut album Creed II on 26 February 2019. In February 2019 her music video to the track debuted. The track has garnered more than 3 million YouTube views in just a single week. As a supporting act She toured together with 6LACK in December 2018 on The From East Atlanta With Love Tour.
